Job Introduction
Nutley CE Primary School is embarking on an exciting new chapter as we join the Pioneer Federation in September 2025. The Governing Board is thrilled to offer the opportunity to appoint a new Head of School to lead our vibrant, successful, and nurturing school community.
At Nutley, we create an engaging learning experience by providing a safe and inspiring environment that fosters high academic achievement. We encourage curiosity and aim to ignite a lifelong love of learning in every child.
Our popular primary school, situated in the historic village of Nutley near Ashdown Forest, has 4 classes and is much loved and respected by pupils, staff, parents and carers, and the local community.
As the Head of School, you will lead with a strong commitment to fostering high-quality, innovative learning that addresses the educational needs of all of our pupils while maximising their achievement and personal development. You will be supported by the Executive Headteacher, as well as central services for finance, HR, resourcing, and IT, alongside a network of supportive Headteachers/Heads of School from other Pioneer schools.
In this role, you will create and implement a shared vision and strategic plan that inspires and motivates pupils, staff, and the entire school community. Your vision should reflect our core educational values, uphold moral purpose, and embrace the values and beliefs of all stakeholders.

- Having the skills and experience of the SENCo and DSL roles or a willingness to train.
