Hours of work: 28.75 per week
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Job Introduction

Sandown is a popular school at the heart of the local community. Our five vision statements demonstrate the way in which we support pupils, parents and staff to develop and grow as unique individuals. We are seeking a flexible Teaching Assistant with an interest in Speech and Language to become part of our team.

The job entails:

Working Monday to Friday (8.30 am - 3.30 pm) working with our in house speech and language therapist who will support and develop programmes to be implemented. This may be in the form of one to one sessions, paired work and small groups.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a good standard of English and Maths - GCSE grade 'C'/5 or above
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and energetic
  • Able to work flexibility and using own initiative.
