Job Introduction

Your NHS needs you!

This is an exciting opportunity to join Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership in a key senior leadership role.

Surrey Heartlands CCG is recruiting a Programme Director to lead its Covid Vaccination programme.   This is a vaccination programme of a size and scale not seen before in England and Surrey Heartlands is looking for an exceptional Programme Director to lead its programme for the next 6 to 9 months.

With a number of approved vaccines and further clinical trials progressing well, we are already delivering COVID 19 vaccines to thousands of at-risk people across Surrey. The programme is wide and varied and will require excellent leadership as well as relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders - local, regional and national.

Working with system partners, the Programme Director will have overall responsibility for ensuring the operational delivery of the vaccination programme and for leading a multi-agency team to support and enable that delivery.  They will also lead the development of the SH vaccinations programme strategy and future planning as the National COVID vaccination Programme continues to evolve and expand.

As an experienced Programme Director, you will have knowledge and experience of working on and delivering large programmes across a number of NHS organisations and have an in-depth appreciation of the NHS and its architecture. It is preferable that you also have experience of working with multi-agency partners including Local Authorities and the Emergency Services.    You will have exceptional senior stakeholder management and communication attributes, organisation and analytic skills and be able to converse and collaborate confidently on technical and non-technical issues.  Experience of working with Primary Care would be significant advantage.

This is a critical time of change and opportunity so if you have the passion, enthusiasm and skills to join the team in this very senior role and would like any further information then please get in touch.

Deliverables

  1. Ensure the delivery of the SH COVID Vaccination programme to priority cohorts 5 to 10 in accordance with nationally mandated timescales
  2. Building on what is already in place evolve the existing programme structure to ensure an approach to the delivery of vaccinations which is consistent and equitable and takes account of the need for the programme to be inclusive for all citizens of Surrey Heartlands
  3. In anticipation of COVID vaccinations becoming an annual cycle, develop and have agreed, a plan for the delivery of COVID vaccinations in the period Dec 21 to Jun 22
